About Uma Subramanian
Uma is a social worker & specialist in child protection and women’s rights with over 15 years of experience in grassroots intervention, survivor support, and systems advocacy. She co-founded RATI Foundation and the Aarambh India Initiative, which received the Presidential National Award in 2017 for pioneering CSAM reporting in India. At RATI, she leads victim-centric responses to gender-based violence online and on-ground, engages in government advocacy, and drives program implementation. A master trainer in child protection, she has trained more than 2,000 stakeholders nationwide. Uma was recognized as an ‘Agent of Change’ by the Ministry of Women & Child Development ,Government of India.
