About Steven Biddle
Steven Biddle has been working as the Minister Counsellor for the Department of Home Affairs since February 2024. Steven has regional responsibility for the Department’s remit in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Steven is responsible for helping to build greater cybersecurity cooperation between Australia and South Asian Countries. Steven’s previous assignments include working as the Assistant Secretary for Privacy, freedom of Information and Records Management, Regional Manager for Compliance, Status Resolution and Detention Operations and Regional Director of Queensland for the Department of Home Affairs. Steven has also led Australia’s settlement program for new migrants and refugees.
