About Nilanjana Bhowmik
Nilanjana Bhowmick is a seasoned journalist, feminist writer, and TEDx speaker whose work focuses on gender equality and social justice. She is the author of two popular and critically acclaimed books on the lives of modern Indian women. Nilanjana has also partnered with UN Women and UNDP India on women’s rights campaigns, founded Wednesday Online, a platform dedicated to empowering women through knowledge and information, and was selected for the UN Women AI School 2025 cohort, where she created an AI tool to detect gender bias in language.
