About Mitthat Hora
With a Master’s in Social Work specialising in Criminology and Justice from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, Mitthat has over five years of experience in the development sector, focusing on gender and child rights. She has worked across themes including domestic violence, women undertrials, and child protection. She has worked with marginalised communities involved in inter-generational sex work, supporting community development through initiatives in education and livelihood. As a Child Rights Fellow with the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) and Ashoka University, she led key projects for the Delhi Government on child well-being and care for children in street situations. Currently, at the British Asian Trust, Mitthat works in the Child Protection team, focusing on strategy and communications.
