About Vedanta Agarwal
Vedanta Agarwal is a journalist and media entrepreneur. As Co-Founder of Peek TV, he has built one of the country's fastest-growing public-interest news platforms while becoming India's youngest prime-time news anchor at the age of 23. A former correspondent and anchor at NDTV, he covered five state elections and one general election, reporting from 12 Indian states and interviewing Chief Ministers, Union Ministers and Members of Parliament with a steadfast commitment to speaking truth to power. Over three years at NDTV, Vedanta reported extensively from the ground on some of India's defining stories, including the Atiq Ahmed police custody encounter, the wrestlers' protest, communal violence in Haryana, the 2023 Delhi floods, the Hathras stampede, the COVID-19 crisis, and investigations into sewage worker deaths. He also anchored the network's flagship programmes, *Left, Right and Centre*, *We The People*, and *The Last Word*. Driven by a vision to build journalism that documents the stories shaping India's future, Vedanta co-founded Peek TV. Under his editorial leadership, the platform has grown from the ground up into one of India's fastest-growing independent digital news organisations, with a community of nearly one million subscribers and more than 150 million monthly views. Peek TV produces documentaries, investigations, ground reports, interviews and original visual storytelling formats that combine journalistic rigour with cinematic craft. As Editor, Vedanta has built robust editorial systems and reporting standards that ensure every story is original, deeply reported, nuanced and rooted in public interest. He continues to report from the field himself, leading investigations into illegal mining in the Aravallis, the Delhi government's afforestation claims and other public-interest issues, reinforcing Peek TV's commitment to ground-first, evidence-based journalism. He has also built Peek TV's newsletter, extending the organisation's impact beyond video journalism. Peek TV is a proud grantee of the Independent Public Spirited Media Foundation. In 2024, Vedanta was honoured with the Young Journalist of the Year Award by Exchange4media in recognition of his contributions to public-interest reporting.
