About Urvashi Kapoor
Urvashi Kapoor is an award-winning journalist and senior media and technology leader, serving as Executive Editor, General Manager, and Head of AI and Media Literacy at Jagran New Media. She leads high-impact initiatives at the intersection of journalism, AI, information integrity, media literacy, and digital safety, with programmes reaching more than 80 million people. A certified trainer with the Google News Initiative India Training Network, Urvashi has collaborated with global organizations including Google, Meta, and the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN). Her work has earned multiple national and international honours, including the INMA Global Media Awards 2024 and WAN-IFRA South Asian Digital Media Awards. She has also been recognized among “40 Under 40 in Journalism.” An East-West Center, National Press Foundation, and Sunway Fellow, she has represented India at leading international forums across Asia, Europe, and Africa. She serves on the Governing Council of the Trusted Information Alliance, contributing to global conversations on AI, trust, safety, and information integrity.
