About Professor Abhilash Nair
Professor Abhilash Nair is Director of Research and Enterprise at the University of Southampton Delhi. He is Chair of the British and Irish Law, Education and Technology Association (BILETA), one of the world’s longest-established learned societies in technology law. His research focuses on internet law, particularly online safety, child online protection, data protection and privacy, and online age assurance frameworks. Professor Nair is a frequent speaker at international forums and has advised a wide range of national and international stakeholders, including regulators, policymakers and industry, on child online safety, children’s rights, online harms, data protection compliance and digital regulation. He has an active media presence, commenting on these issues across broadcast and print media, including the BBC, LBC, The Telegraph, and Glamour.
