About Margaret Gichanga
Dr Margaret Gichanga is a fundraising and research consultant to Kutunga, which advances safety-by-design for children's digital products across Africa through the A-CODES Fellowship, the Kutunga Sandbox, and the Kutunga Seal certification, built on the WATOTO framework's ten African-grounded standards. She holds a PhD in Business and Management and a Master's in International Relations, and has led policy research and engaged directly with government and civil society stakeholders throughout her career. She currently leads research design for a multi-country study on how African parents and children experience data practices and safety mechanisms in the digital products their children use daily.
