About Maina Korir
Dr Maina Korir is a cybersecurity researcher and educator specialising in digital trust, privacy, data governance and cybersecurity. She is Research Director and Program Lead at iLabAfrica, Strathmore University, in Nairobi, Kenya where she leads cybersecurity research, capacity-building initiatives, and postgraduate education. She holds a PhD in Privacy and Learning Analytics from The Open University, UK. Her research interests include child online safety, digital identity and privacy, cybersecurity risks in digital financial services, and privacy and control in learning technologies. She has worked across academia, research, and applied policy, including consultancy work on governance and the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
