About Madelaine Coelho
Madelaine Coelho is a PhD Candidate in the University of Toronto’s Department of Sociology. Her research explores resources available for survivors of technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) pan-India and, more broadly, Indian responses to gender-based violence in a digital world. This research has been supported through a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship, Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) research grants, and a Schwartz Reisman Institute for Technology and Society Graduate Fellowship. With a background in both computer science and sociology, Madelaine is passionate about interdisciplinary solutions to complex problems surrounding gender, violence, and technology.
