About Lucy Thomas
Lucy Thomas OAM is cofounder and CEO of PROJECT ROCKIT, Australia’s youth-driven movement working to create kinder, safer and more inclusive communities. Lucy launched PROJECT ROCKIT with their sister Rosie straight out of high school and has spent the past two decades working alongside young people to challenge bullying, amplify youth voice and shape the culture around them. Through its youth-driven school programs, PROJECT ROCKIT has directly impacted more than 1 million school students and supported more than 150 young people into career-starting employment in the social impact sector. Lucy is also a trusted voice in online safety, serving on global Safety Advisory Boards for Meta, Snapchat, Spotify and Roblox, where they bring young people’s perspectives into conversations about technology and online safety. A passionate speaker and facilitator, Lucy brings together youth voice, creativity and advocacy to explore how we can build better ways of being together – online and off. Lucy is an Obama Leader and Westpac Social Change Fellow, and was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for their service to youth and the prevention of bullying.
