About Divya Chandra
Divya Chandra is Chief Programme Officer at BOOM, specialising in trust & safety, digital literacy and AI ethics. She has actively conducted AI literacy, verification, and media literacy training sessions for journalists, election management bodies, teenagers, journalism students, engineering students and the general public—in India and South Asia. She has collaborated on initiatives with Google, YouTube, UNICEF, International Centre for Journalists (ICFJ), IIIDEM under Election Commission of India, CUTS & US Consulate General Kolkata, Journalists' Association of Bhutan, IIT Madras, OP Jindal Global University, Azim Premji University, Shiv Nadar University, among others. She is a core member of the Teen Fact-Checking Network India and the North East Facts Network. Previously, she worked as Correspondent-Fact Check at The Quint, where she investigated online mis/disinformation and delved deeper into the psychology of misinformation.
